This approach maximises our tree utilisation and upholds our commitment to sustainability and forest stewardship. Our closed-circuit furfural technology significantly reduces the environmental footprint typically associated with furfural production. We have successfully piloted our technology and in the near future we expect to make an announcement regarding the investment in a world-leading industrial furfural plant.

What is Furfural?
Furfural is a valuable biobased platform chemical and is identified as a viable chemical substitute for certain petroleum-based products. Furfural, and its primary derivative, furfural alcohol, can be used in a wide range of applications, including foundry resins, solvents, and crop protection products. Its versatility and sustainability make it an essential component in transitioning to more environmentally friendly alternatives in the chemical industry.
