What is Valida?
In personal care formulations, Valida offers a sustainable, biodegradable alternative to microplastics. It enhances formulation stability, suspends particles without increasing viscosity, and delivers a silicone-like, powdery skin feel—without any tackiness.
Cellulose is the most abundant natural and biodegradable polymer on Earth, forming the backbone of all plant life. Unlike conventional cellulose materials, Valida S+ is 100% mechanically processed without chemical modifications or solvents, preserving its natural purity. With a naturality score of 0.99 (ISO 16128) and certification as readily biodegradable in marine waters, Valida offers a truly sustainable solution.
Its mechanical fibrillation process creates an ultra-fine, fibrillated cellulose with a unique 3D network structure, delivering high surface area, superior water retention, and excellent stability. Valida’s natural composition ensures exceptional compatibility with electrolytes and broad pH tolerance, making it an ideal ingredient for high-performance personal care formulations.
