Valida – Nature’s High-Performance Fibrillated Cellulose
When natural cellulose fibres are mechanically processed to their smallest components, they become highly fibrillated, creating a material with an extensive surface area and branched structure. This advanced form of cellulose, known as fibrillated cellulose, is branded as Valida by Sappi.
Thanks to its natural cellulosic composition, Valida offers excellent compatibility with electrolytes and stability across extreme pH conditions.
In liquid formulations, Valida forms a three-dimensional network that stabilises particles, emulsions, foams, and other sensitive ingredients—without significantly affecting viscosity.
In solid formulations, its branched structure effectively binds active ingredients, releasing them upon contact with water. This high surface area enables Valida to incorporate significantly greater amounts of active ingredients in solid detergent products.
